Collaboration to Save Pollinators Makes for Good Cocktails

Thinking Tree Spirits and GloryBee team up to create R-T-D bottled cocktail to ‘Save the Bee’

Eugene, OR: Thinking Tree Spirits, a women-led, farm-to-flask craft distillery, announced today the launch of a new addition to their successful line up of ready-to-drink bottled cocktails. The Bee’s Knees offers home cocktail enthusiasts a chance to discover the classic cocktail that’s made with Thinking Tree Spirits ‘Gifted Gin’, lemon and honey. A key ingredient, honey, was provided in partnership by GloryBee, a family owned Eugene based company that has been supplying beekeepers and bee lovers with equipment and honey based products since 1974. A percentage of the sales will go towards supporting the SAVE the BEE initiative founded by GloryBee.

“Thinking Tree Spirits is very intentional with everything we craft and The Bee’s Knees might be one of the most special projects we’ve done to date” says Emily Jensen, CEO/Thinking Tree Spirits. “Pollinators are a critical part of the locally sourced botanicals in our spirits and supporting the SAVE the BEE initiative aligns with our purpose as a company.”

SAVE the BEE is inspiring positive change to ensure the future of honey bees by funding scientific research, increasing the awareness of the critical role honey bees play in our food supply, and supporting projects that provide education for farmers and beekeepers, create pollinator habitat, and promote pesticide reform. After starting the SAVE the BEE Initiative Alan Turanski, GloryBee’s President sought to build partnerships through collaboration to further the mission but also engage the business community at large to amplify the impact and raise awareness of the plight of honey bees.

“We are excited to partner with Thinking Tree Spirits, a local distillery making superb high-quality spirits, investing in our community, and now saving our bees!” says Turanski. “ We know that it will take all of us working together to address the plight of our pollinators. SAVE the BEE Brand Partners, like Thinking Tree Spirits, place the SAVE the BEE logo on their products to help spread the word and give a percentage of sales to the cause.”

Features and benefits of the Bee’s Knees ready-to-drink bottle cocktail include.

·       Crafted with locally sourced ingredients and benefiting the balance and well-being of our planet through supporting the plight of our pollinators
